The joint, and the floor under it
A refrigerator column and a freezer column butted together and joined with a trim kit rely on both cabinets standing plumb and at the same height. In a newer house on a level slab this is a non-issue. In an older Stow house where the kitchen floor has moved a few millimetres over decades, the joint opens slightly, the doors stop sealing along their shared edge, and the freezer starts working against a continuous small leak of room air.
The symptoms are condensation down the seam, frost inside near the join, and a unit running long. The remedy is a level, shims and a hinge adjustment. It is the most common Thermador call there is and it very often needs no part at all.
Ice, and what a well does to it
Where a Stow house is on its own well, the ice maker in the refrigerator column is the appliance that reports it. Fill-tube ice is the specific failure: a short or slow fill leaves water in the tube long enough to freeze, and once a tube has frozen it will keep freezing until the reason is corrected. Replacing the module without addressing the supply buys a few weeks.

The supply line had been dripping behind the cabinet long enough to swell the toe kick before anyone noticed. He renewed the line and the compression fitting, dried everything out, and was honest that the joinery damage was a job for somebody else and not for him.
